Dr. Scott officially joined Mechanicsville in the fall of 2022 alongside his wife, a current DVM at our practice, Dr. Tracy Perdew. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Animal and Poultry Science in 2013 with a Prat Research Fellowship and the achievement of being honored on the President’s List for Academic Honors. Dr. Scott then graduated from Virginia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Scott takes a professional interest in orthopedics, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and general medicine. Client communication and giving his patients the best care possible is his number one priority. Dr. Scott has always been captivated by the animal connection since His grandfather, Ronald Scott DVM., was a large animal veterinarian who worked for the state and federal governments focusing on infectious diseases. In his free time, he loves spending time with his family, wife, and two kids, Hudson and Hadley! He also enjoys participating in outdoor activities like camping and hiking!
